In 2021 Auto Wash became a carbon-neutral company, and we are committed to supporting sustainability initiatives that help protect the natural spaces around us. We are proud to call the Finger Lakes Region our home, and we actively pursue partnerships and sponsorships that preserve the beauty and accessibility of the great outdoors.

Auto Wash uses smart technology including nest thermostats, metered water, and smart motors to reduce our carbon emissions, and we partner with Carbonfund.org to purchase high-quality carbon offsets that support reforestation projects, methane recapture projects, and wetland restoration projects. Now that we have achieved Carbon Neutrality, we are going further by pursuing ways to incorporate carbon-free energy into our operations.
Sustainability Actions and Partnerships
Conservation
Auto Wash is proud to support the Finger Lakes Land Trust - a group that conserves natural spaces around the Finger Lakes to improve water quality of our lakes, improve wildlife habitat, and offer recreational places for people to enjoy.
Renewable Energy
Each month Auto Wash matches 100% of our electricity consumption with the purchases of wind energy. This decreases the amount of electricity on the grid that comes from non-renewable sources (i.e. coal and natural gas) and increases the amount of renewable energy on the grid.
Protecting our Lakes
We partner with Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association to provide FREE boat washes to protect our lake from invasive species like zebra mussels. We also provide financial support to help fund their operations which protect the quality of our lake.
Auto Wash is also a proud supporter of the Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association, an organization committed to Preserve, Protect, and Promote Seneca Lake water quality for all who use it.
